Everyone knows what a Kenny Chesney fan I am.  Before you pooh-pooh this post and click off the page, check out just a small portion of the lyrics of one of latest songs- (already number 1 on the charts) - Its songs like this that keep drawing me in, both to country music and to Mr. Chesney’s music in particular.

So do that.  Take time to enjoy your life, your family, just being who and  where you are.�

Two years ago today (seems like just yesterday) Adam & Megan said “I do”.

I personally, think Adam picked the perfect partner.  Megan sure seems to make Adam very happy, and I think Adam makes Megan pretty happy too :)  They bring out the best in each other.

I can see them raising a wonderful family and living a long happy life together.  I envision them rocking away in their matching rocking chairs, sitting on their porch, watching their great grandkids play, and smiling, knowing that their life together has been spectacular! (of course, Adam will be poking Megan in the side, just trying to get a reaction out of her, and she will still be ignoring his goofy attempts just to make him crazy!)

Adam & Megan leave today for their trip to Ireland!  Isn’t that exciting!

They’re renting a car (be careful driving on the “wrong” side of the road…. remember, the steering wheel goes to the ditch side! Not the middle of the road!) and have quite a route planned out.  Bed and Breakfasts to stop at along the way and a digital camera with plenty of empty cards to fill up.  You can see their planned route here.

I can’t wait to hear about their trip and see all of their pictures!

UGH.

WOW!

School is intense!  But you know, I’m lovin’ it!  Naturally I finished the “good” assignments right away.  Couldnt help but procrastinate a little on the Information Sciences one…(can you say boring?) But, all the first week assignments are in and done.  Had a little confusion on the info sciences one (this is the required class that teaches research sources and such) and even am disputing one of the questions on the quiz. . . .  but I’ll survive.  Nothing a little time won’t fix.

So far the ride home on the bus has provided just enough time to finish an assignment.  Literally.  Just as I’m crossing the bay bridge, I’ve been winding up whatever I was doing, be it reading or writing a paper.  So that has worked out really well.

Justin is doing well.  He went back to work on Friday and is glad to be back.  I was going to post the pictures of the xrays but the scanner doesnt like my laptop, so I’m going to have to find another way.  Until then, you’ll just have to take my word for it.  Its really cool!

Well, Justin’s first check-up went well :)  The titanium rod is keeping his leg straight and doing its job.  Everything seems to be healing well.  He will return to work tomorrow, which he is very excited about.  [He's been a little stir crazy here for the past nearly 3 weeks!]  He can even drive if he can fit his big foot comfortably into a vehicle and it is not a manual transmission vehicle nor a motorcycle (can’t bear that kind of weight).  For a little while he’ll be bumming rides, but will soon be driving himself.

Its fortunate that the State of Maryland requires personal injury protection (”PIP”) even with basic liability coverage.  I would have never envisioned needing it, but sure enough, it is the only thing semi- helpful in this situation.  The deadbeat that hit Justin will not fork over a cent, since she’s uninsured, and tho Justin can sue her for his medical bills and such not covered by the “PIP” (not even coming close), its doubtful he’ll ever see a penny, since she’s such an upstanding citizen (That is incredibly sarcastic.  She has a criminal record as long as my arm!). 

We are thankful that Justin “only” broke his leg and had to deal with minimal (comparatively speaking) injuries.  But this whole experience has been incredibly frustrating for all of us, and its not even close to being overwith.

I love school!

Good news!  Justin seems to have turned the bend and the worst of the pain seems to be overwith.  He’s slowly mastering the crutches, tho his big feet dont fit on the stairs so between the crutches and the big feet, the stairs still represent somewhat of a challenge.  He’s managing, tho, and his mood is improving.

Justin was definitely getting cabin fever- having spent the past 10 days pretty much in the same chair doing not a whole lot of anything… so this weekend he’s spending with some (married) friends in Delaware that are sure to take good care of him, and give him a nice change of scenery and good company too.

Ortho check up is Wednesday, and he’ll get new x-rays and we’ll get a status update on how long everything will be, the boot he’s wearing, the crutches, all that.

Meanwhile,  we are challenged with what to do with the deadbeat that hit him, and just how far it is worth pursuing.
