Battle of the Beltway
Sunday, June 29th, 2008Today I met Janis and Warren at the new Washington Nationals stadium in Washington DC for the Nats v. O’s game, the 3rd game of the Beltway trilogy. . . which was standing at 1-1; the “rubber game” of the match, if you will!
ÂÂ

ÂÂ
The weather cooperated, it was a wonderful, hot, sunny day. The new stadium is gorgeous, and I can’t say enough about the company I hung out with for the day!
It came down to the bottom of the 12th, with the O’s up, 2-1; the Nats had a runner on 1st, 2 outs and 2 strikes on the batter. . . and don’t ya know, with only one stinkin’ pitch to go, and Belliard hit a walk off, and the game was over, with the Nat’s winning, 3-2.ÂÂ
~sigh
So, the O’s didn’t win today, but, I had a terrific day hanging out with Jan & Warren, and just enjoying America’s favorite pastime
I did get a couple decent pics of the stadium and players. . . check them out here.
We’ll get ‘em next time!
