Not that very many babies come when they are due. . .
But, Hey. . . . 27 days is 27 days!

Saturday was spent at the office, attempting to reign in the overwhelming paper/box seige that has been plaguing my space for so long.
I must say, after 8 hours and 44 ounces of Diet Dr. Pepper, I think I moved ahead in the battle!
If you look at my previous post, you will notice this same picture, only you can barely see the floor! Just a tiny pathway on the left that I could get to my desk through. Also, If you notice, the bookcase in the back on the left? Its half empty now. It used to be stuffed with red files, (the ones that fell. Twice.) that were too large for it (they were “legal” sized and the shelves are “letter” sized). Now, there are books on the bookshelf! How about that!!
This is the what the red files look like now:
I am not kidding myself. I know there is still work to be done. I have a cart with a bunch of files that need to be filed, and TWO (2) boxes (as opposed to 18) that need to be labeled and filed. But considering the mess I started with? I’m thinking I made good progress with the time I spent at the office!
Here are a few more pictures of my nice clean office!
NOW I can feel organized and some sense of control in my workspace. Its SO nice now! A work environment conducive to working instead of overwhelming disorganization.
Yay!
Adam & Megan’s Baby, “Nublet” is due in a mere 37 days! The date the doctors have given is November 26.
I thought it would be fun to see if anyone could actually guess when the little guy would actually make his debut.
What do you get for getting it right? Just kudos and the satisfaction from being a good guesser!
Anyone want to play along?
How about leaving a comment that picks a day and say, a 6 hour block (1/4 day) time frame. So, it would be, for example: 11/26 A (between midnight and 6am)
A=12:01-6:00am,
B=6:01am-12:00pm,
C=12:01pm - 6:00pm, or
D= 6:01pm - 12:00pm
i’ll go first
I pick 11/27- C
Your turn!
Here’s the current table of guesses:

While waiting every day at the commuter bus stop, one tends to notice many things.
Like, not one single, solitary day has gone by that a fire truck or ambulance doesnt pass, sirens blaring, while I wait (in 3 years!), or that the buses are always late. Always. Or perhaps, that the vehicles passing through the intersection of 14th & K have no regard whatsoever for the traffic signal and do whatever they please whenever they please.
However, this past Monday, I had to change the picture. See, theres a begger. I don’t know if he’s homeless or what the real deal is. Maybe it is his “job” instead of going to a job like I do? He wears relatively clean, dressier, not-your-typical-begger-type clothing. Sometimes he’s wearing dress pants with a button down shirt and tie, sometimes even a suit coat. He’s pretty clean shaven. He carries a bent and worn out paper metro fare card with about 85 cents on it. He walks to every person in the commuter bus line (and down the street, also to the metro bus stops) and asks for a dollar to add to the metro card to get home. But he does this every day. To the same people. At the same bus stops.
So, after about a month of it, I just had to give him some insight, helpful person that I always try to be. I told him, “Dude. Everyone here knows your scam. You really should try other bus stops some times and not come to the same one every day!” (I really did say that!) He walked off without asking anyone else at my stop.
Now, before you tell me what a horrible person I am. . . I only suggested he go someplace else. . . I didnt kick him or call the police. Only suggested that he move along to people who didn’t know his game. He wasn’t getting any money from us anyway- we had all seen him before and knew what he was up to. Maybe he’s making the money he needs from some unsuspecting folks down the road now. I guess we’ll know when he comes back our way!
